I spent two weeks in Ireland (August 2014) attending the Rose of Tralee Festival. I had a lot of free time spent on planes, trains, and buses and during that time, I had the time to write the outline to my book, the Holistic Beauty Bible. This was a goal I set for myself in January and I am amazed at how fast the year has flown by. The holidays will be here before you know it, and it’s hard to get anything done during the holiday crunch time, so September seemed like a good time to get this goal done.
I was inspired to write this book because over the past 20 years, I have amassed quite a library of books with great advice for living a balanced life, growing stronger with age, and dare-I-say acquiring inner peace and happiness. As the founder of an organic skincare company, I also get daily questions about how to look younger (as if it’s a secret that I’m keeping).
Having said that, I also realize there are only so many hours in a day, and even though I know (and believe) these techniques/tools and tips to be true, applying them to my own busy life is a different story. One day I thought to myself “What if I applied EVERYTHING I know about health, wellness and beauty?” Well, the second thought was “There aren’t enough hours in the day!”. So, I wrote down what I feel are The Most Important things you can do for yourself and I am doing them (myself) every single day, and writing about the entire experience in my book, the Holistic Beauty Bible.
I am going to treat this as a job, not an indulgence, or when-I-have-time whim. Today has been day one and for the record, I feel Great!
